Sylvia Jimenez Arangure was born in Tijuana Baja California on July 20, 1970.  She began to be interested in Art at the age of 15 when she saw the drawings of a horse in an animal illustration Encyclopedia. In this illustration Encyclopedia, she found that in a drawing one can portray and interpret a story. Sylvia studied History in San Diego State University and currently works with teenagers focusing on exploring Art as therapy.
